OSCTC offers day and evening online Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) training classes that meet the education standards for nursing assistants as required by the Ohio Department of Health. Students will be able to take the state test upon graduation.

Home Care / Personal Care Aide

OSCTC offers day and evening online Home Care Aide / Personal Care Aide training to prepare students to perform the basic skills necessary to provide personal care services in the homecare setting.

CNA STNA Training

OSCTC offers Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) Training that meet the education standards for nursing assistants as required by the Ohio Department of Health. Upon successful completion of the training program, graduates will obtain CNA Certificates and be qualified to take the State Nurse Aide (STNA) examination.

OSCTC's 75-clock hour CNA/STNA Training Program will cover body mechanics, nutrition, anatomy and physiology, human disease processes, infection control, communication skills, and resident rights. Students will master various personal care skills such as how to help patients bathe, eat, and groom themselves.

TTT Train the Trainer

OSCTC's NATCEP Train-the-Trainer (TTT) program is approved by Ohio Department of Health to train nurses interested in teaching nurse aides. Ohio long-term care codes require that nurses who serve as Program Coordinators (PCs) and Primary Instructors (PIs) for Training and Competency Evaluation Programs (TCEPs) take a state-approved Train the Trainer (TTT) course.

This 4-day program will cover topics including: Framework for Training, Training Environment, Course Material Design and Development Process, and learning the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) rules that pertain to NATCEP and TTT.

HCA Home Care Aide

OSCTC's 30-hour online home care aide/personal care aide training program prepares students to perform the basic skills necessary to provide personal care services and activities to elderly, convalescent, or disabled persons in the home of patients or in a residential care facility. Students will be able to demonstrate basic nursing care and the skills required to promote health and healing for patient, as well as performing basic homemaker duties.

This 5-day course will cover topics including: activities of daily living, communication and administration, basic home safety, infection control, and other core areas of competency.
